Athens, GA – May 2, 2022 – University Cancer & Blood Center (UCBC), a leading oncology and hematology practice for Northeast Georgia, is announcing the groundbreaking of the newest, state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer center in Athens, GA.

For over four decades, UCBC has been an independent community oncology practice with a reputation for cutting-edge and innovative cancer treatment and research. UCBC provides individualized, holistic cancer care to residents across Northeast Georgia and beyond. As UCBC has grown, so has the patient population and the demand to expand cancer service lines. UCBC’s brand new state-of-the-art cancer center will advance cancer care for patients throughout the region and the entire Southeast.

The 81,500-square-foot facility will allow UCBC to offer all services available, including medical and radiation oncology, in one convenient location, helping the dozens of patients that rely on both forms of treatment. Other services will include a retail pharmacy, imaging center, clinical trials, supportive care, in-house labs, private infusion spaces, and an expanded Theranostics program. Additionally, the facility will feature more private treatment rooms.

The new industry-leading facility will be completed with the help of UCBC’s partners, including MPA Developments, Brasfield & Gorrie, OneOncology, Davis Stokes Collaborative and Pittman Engineering.
