Katelyn T. Gillespie, certified Family Nurse Practitioner, joined UCBC in August 2018. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Brenau University and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in May 2018. Katelyn graduated cum laude from Piedmont College in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She was a Dean’s Scholar and was named to R.H. Daniel School of Nursing and Sigma Alpha Pi Honor Society. Katelyn holds advanced oncology certification as a nurse practitioner and oncology nursing certification. She is an adjunct faculty member at Brenau University, investing in future Nurse Practitioners. She also serves on the planning committee for APPPOS Atlanta 2025 and AOCNP certification exams. In her time off Katelyn loves to run, volunteer as a sports coach at her local recreation department, and serves in the children’s ministry at her church. She is a life-long resident of Jackson County and is adored by her husband and their two small children.
