Dr. Amanda Hathaway Now Providing Specialized Cancerous Blood-Related Treatments at UCBC’s Athens-Clarke County Medical Oncology Clinic and Toccoa-Stephens County Locations
University Cancer & Blood Center (UCBC), a leading oncology and hematology practice for Northeast Georgia, welcomes Dr. Amanda Hathaway, a board-certified hematology oncologist. Patients in need of cancerous blood treatment can choose

Dr. Hathaway is now seeing patients at UCBC’s Athens-Clarke County Medical Oncology Clinic (3320 Old Jefferson Road, Suite 700, Athens) and Toccoa-Stephens County locations (1656 Falls Road, Suite B, Toccoa). Among her services, she examines and manages symptoms associated with blood diseases and tumors.

Dr. Hathaway earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. During her fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Birmingham, Alabama, she received several honors and recognitions, including being designated as an Outstanding Clinical Fellow and Outstanding Research Fellow.
In addition to co-authoring an array of peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, she has also delivered oral and poster presentations. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Gold Humanitarian Honor Society, and Christian Medical and Dental Associations.
